    • This is a good time of year to check sprayers to line up winter repairs and clean/winterize sprayers for the year.
    • Maturity testing apple varieties started last week.
    • Soil sampling to plan fall and spring fertilizer applications can be collected at anytime from now until the ground freezes.

    Seasonal Update: Soil sampling for nutrient testing can be done at any time now until soil freezes. Pre-harvest fungicide sprays to decrease storage losses can go out with your last insecticide spray.

    Growth Stage: Harvest is complete.
    Seasonal Update: A post-harvest spray for Cherry Leaf Spot may be necessary to retain leaves into September. Hedging and any post harvest limb removal should be done now. Soil sampling can take place now through fall freeze.
